This DIY Beaded Riser tutorial is super simple and customizable. Let me show you how to make beautiful beaded risers on a budget!
What do you do when you have leftover beads from other projects? You make DIY Bead Risers, of course! You can create this look with wood rounds, or like we did here, with small squares. Plus, you can make these in a variety of sizes to serve your needs. Let me show you how to put together your own!

Supplies you’ll need for your DIY beaded riser:
- Natural Color Round Wood Spacer Beads 25mm(1 Inch)
- 2 Wooden Base Pieces
- Gorilla Super Glue or E6000 Glue
- Spray Paint or Dixie Belle Chalk Paint
This is so simple! First, gather your two base pieces and the beads you will be using.
Place the beads around the base to measure off where you will be gluing them.
Then, add your adhesive of choice. I used Gorilla Super Glue, but something like E6000 would also work.
Once the beads are glued in place, secure the second base portion of the riser with glue. If you are using gorilla super glue you will want to work fast for this part.
PRO TIP: I used 1-inch beads, but feel free to use whatever size beads you’d like.
Next, I added ball “feet” to raise it up a bit more.
To finish it off, I spray-painted the entire riser with white paint. You can also use Dixie Belle Chalk Paint for this step. Feel free to use whatever color you like!

This project really was a win-win!!
Here’s an example of how you can use risers to up-level your décor. Below I have a photo of a simple vignette without a riser.
In the next photo, I added the riser. See…sometimes ya just need a lil pick-me-up. Both photos look nice, but the symmetry with the riser makes a difference.
This really was so much fun to put together!! Y’all know how I love texture!
I’m going to leave you with one more idea in the photo below. Remember, these risers can be made in any size and with any shape base. Change things up and create something that perfectly fits your style and needs!
