This DIY Candy Corn Decor tutorial is super easy and budget friendly. Dress up your fall home with this crafty idea!
Fall is the BEST time of year, am I right?!? Cooler days, fall leaves and all of the decor. It’s just so fun!! Let me show you how to make your own DIY Candy Corn Decor.

Supplies you’ll need to make your own DIY Candy Corn Decor:
- Wooden Candy Corn Shape Set
- Cotton Dixie Belle Chalk Paint
- Florida Orange Dixie Belle Chalk Paint
- Colonel Mustard Dixie Belle Chalk Paint
- Paint Brush
- Painter’s Tape
This is such an easy project thanks to my friends at Twin Knobs Woodworks. Their Wooden Candy Corn Shape Set comes all ready for you to paint. They make all of my ideas come alive and I’m just so excited for you to get this set too!
This set of 3 chunky Candy Corn Shaped wood cutouts go great with fall decor. They are cut from 1 1/2″ thick solid pine wood and measure approximately 3 1/2″ wide at the base and are 4″, 5″, & 6″ tall. Get this exact set HERE.
Begin by taping off your shapes to accomodate all three colors we will be using.
Now, grab your paint! I used the colors Colonel Mustard, Florida Orange and Cotton from Dixie Belle Chalk Paint.
Once everything is taped off, paint the top portion of each candy corn with Dixie Belle Chalk Paint in the color cotton.
Be sure to paint the top and all sides.
Next move onto the bottom portion. This part needs to be painted in the Dixie Belle color Colonel Mustard.
Again, be sure to paint all of the sides.
Before removing your tape, be sure to either let what you’ve painted air dry or you can use a heat gun to speed up the process.
Once everything is dry, remove the tape.
Next, tape off the top and bottom portions of each candy corn so you can paint the middle.
The middle needs to be painted in the Dixie Belle color Florida Orange.
Again, you will need to let the paint dry before removing the tape to reveal your finished product.
Isn’t this set so fun!! It really is a great way to dress up lots of areas in your home including your tiered trays.
You can also take this project up a notch with Chalk Couture!
All you need to add some accents to your candy corn set is the House Patterns Transfer from Chalk Couture and Chalkology Paste in the colors Orange Peel, Bumblebee and Bright White.
To add the Chalk Couture accents, all you need to do is apply the transfer, smooth the paste over the transfer and wipe back the excess.
This extra step adds just enough texture to really make the candy corn unique!
