Here are the supplies you’ll need to create your own set of Chalk Couture House Cutouts:
- Chalk Couture House Cutouts
- House Patterns Transfer
- Black Velvet Chalkology Paste
- Shimmer Gold Chalkology Paste
- Squeegee
- Fuzzing Cloth
- Transfer Trimmers
To begin the project, I gathered my supplies including a set of the House Cutouts and the House Patterns Transfer.
The House Patterns Transfer includes multiple options for your projects, including the family option and the patterned option we are going to be using today. To prep your transfer for use, you will need to cut out each pattern along the lines provided.
Next, use your Fuzzing Cloth to “fuzz” the new transfer before applying it to your surface. To do this simply apply and remove the transfer to the cloth a few times.
Now you are ready to put your transfer on your surface. To do this, simply press the sticky side down on to the surface in the position that best fits your project.
Once your transfer is on your surface, apply a thin layer of Chalkology Paste over the entire pattern. Be sure to wipe back any excess paste.
Finally remove the transfer and reveal your finished product!
You can use the same technique to add a complimentary pattern to the second house cutout. For mine, I decided to use the Black Chalology Paste for the word “family” and to add a gold accent by chalking the heart with Shimmer Gold Paste.
Once the chalk paste accents are dry, you can top off your project with some embellishments like twine or greenery. This is totally optional.
Chalk Couture offers so many pattern and color choices, that you are only limited by your imagination!!
