Adding inexpensive decor items to your front porch and beyond is super easy when you have Chalk Couture. Today, I’m going to show you how to use Chalk Couture Ink on fabric. This is a great way to create coordinating items for your entire home and it will get you more uses out of your transfers. Let’s go over what you’ll need and how to complete the project.

Supplies you’ll need to use Chalk Couture Ink on fabric:
- Chalk Couture Transfer – I used a retired Transfer called “Boho Florals”, but this technique can be used with any transfer.
- Chalkology Ink Black Velvet
- 17×17 Ink Mat
- Square Pillow Cover
- Small Squeegee
For this project you will need a Chalk Couture Transfer, your color choice of Chalkology Ink, an inking mat, pillow cover and a squeegee. Full details regarding the exact products I used are listed above.
First, prepare your pillow cover for inking by placing the inking mat inside of the cover.
The inking mat will protect the back of your cover when applying the ink on the front.
Next, place your transfer on the pillow cover’s surface.
Once the transfer is in place, start applying the ink. As you can see below, I only used the top portion of the transfer.
Once you’ve covered the desired area with ink, remove the transfer.
Continue placing your transfer, inking and removing the transfer until you’ve added all the details you want on your surface.
For my project, I created a circle (wreath) shape by connecting the floral pieces around the exterior area of the pillow case.
To finish up your pillow, let the ink dry to the touch and then heat set with an iron on med/high heat on both the front and back. Then you can insert your pillow form and decorate with it!!
As you can see, Chalk Couture makes it so easy to create an entire space filled with unique decor! Want more fun and easy DIY home decor ideas?? Find me on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest!
