Supplies you’ll need to make cute Halloween décor:
The ChalkMade Gone Batty Kit comes with everything you need. When you open the kit you will find:
- ChalkSuede™ Bats (12-Pack)
- B-sized Transfer
- Chalkology® Paste Singles in Shimmer Plum (2) and Glow in the Dark (2)
- Mini Squeegee (1)
- Color Trays (2)
- Adhesive Squares (36)
You’ll also get printed instructions that guide you through the entire crafting process.
Start by cutting the transfer along the lines as shown below.
Next, “fuzz” each transfer by applying and removing the sticky side to a Fuzzing Cloth 3-5 times. You want to dull a bit of the stickiness so the transfer easily comes off after applying the paste.
Next, squeeze each packet of Chalkology Paste into the trays provided.
Then apply the transfer you’d like to use to the corresponding bat cutout and apply a layer of the Chalkology Paste.
PRO TIP: For this project, it was easier to place the bat on the transfer rather than the transfer on the bat.
Once you’ve covered the entire transfer, remove to reveal the design.
You can see here that I started with the spider web pattern and Glow In the Dark Paste.
Next, I used the Shimmer Plum Chalkology Paste and the transfer with the spooky words pattern.
I did three bats, one with each transfer pattern as you can see below. These are heavy coated card stock and they are perforated, so you can easily bend them to resemble flying bats.
Once dry, apply the sticky dots to the back and hang them up. The sticky dots make them super easy to hang wherever you’d like.
