Supplies you’ll need to make your own DIY Coffee Bar Sign:
- 7×7 inch Wood Square (3/4 inch thick)
- 5 inch Shiplap Round (1/4 inch thick)
- Tobacco Road VooDoo Gel
- Fluff Dixie Belle Chalk Paint
- Served Fresh All Day Chalk Couture Transfer
- Black Velvet Chalkology Paste Single
- Small Squeegee
I started this project by staining the 7×7 wood square with Tobacco Road Voodoo Gel.
Next, I used the color Fluff to paint the shiplap round.
Then, I used a toothpick to remove excess paint from the shiplap grooves.
Once the wood block and shiplap round were dry, it was time to add the details.
For the Chalk Couture details, I used Black Velvet Chalkology Paste and the Served Fresh All Day Transfer. This transfer comes with four designs on one sheet, so I cut the one that I wanted to use for this project.
Here’s a look at everything I used for this portion of the project.
Next, I placed the transfer in the center of shiplap round.
Then, I added a layer of the black paste using a small squeegee. Once I was finished adding the paste, I promptly removed the transfer.
This is what the shiplap round looked like after I added the transfer details.
PRO TIP: Chalk Couture Transfers are reusable! Simply rinse the transfer after use, let dry and store on the original backing. Transfers normally last about 10-12 uses.
To finish everything off, I used some adhesive to glue the shiplap round to the wood square. Now it’s ready to use on my coffee bar!
