These are the supplies I used to create my DIY Wood Christmas Tags:
- Tag Minis
- Dixie Belle Tobacco Road Voodoo Gel Stain
- Chalkable Chips
- Bright White Chalkology Paste
- Black Velvet Chalkology Paste
- North Pole Postmark Transfer
- Raw Wood Beads
- Small Squeegee
- Extra Fine Glitter
- Glitter Sealer Spray
- E6000 Adhesive
- String
- Dixie Belle Chalk Paint in the color Fluff
Start by gathering all of your supplies. Above I listed what I used to create this exact look, but always feel free to change up the colors however you would like!
To begin, I used Dixie Belle Voodoo Gel in the color Tobacco Road to stain all of my mini tags.
Then, I started adding the details to my surfaces. Below, you can see me using Black Velvet Chalkology Paste to add the North Pole Stamp portion of my transfer to a chalkable chip. I will attach this to my tag later.
Next, I embellished my mini tag with other portions of the transfer using Bright White Chalkology Paste. You can get creative here & make a set of tags that each have a special element.
While the paste was wet, I used some extra fine glitter to add extra sparkle to my tag. Be sure to add a generous amount and to pat it into the paintso that you get full coverage.
Once both elements were embellished, it was time to glue them together. I used E6000 Adhesive for this step. You will also notice that I placed it a bit off center. That’s just the look I was going for. Feel free to change it up to reflect your style!
PRO TIP: Use a Glitter Sealer product like the one pictured below to seal in the glitter and preserve the sparkle!
To finish everything off, I added a piece of string that I embellished with a wood bead that I painted and added glitter to.
