Here’s your supply list:
- Home Grown Pumpkin Sign Kit
- Fluff Dixie Belle Chalk Paint
- Caviar Dixie Belle Chalk Paint
- Tobacco Road Dixie Belle Gel Stain
- Sponge Brushes
- Paint Brushes
- Gorilla Super Glue
First, gather all of your supplies including the Home Grown Pumpkin Sign Kit from Twin Knobs Wood Works.
Also grab the colors you are going to use for your project. I wanted a black and white themed sign, so I used the colors Fluff and Caviar from Dixie Belle. You can personalize your sign using whatever color scheme matches your decor best.
To begin, I stained the frame of my sign using Tobacco Road Gel Stain from Dixie Belle.
This product is easily applied with a clean cloth. Simply rub the stain into the wood and wipe away excess. You can also add multiple layers of the stain to achieve a darker color depending on the look you want to achieve.
Next, paint the base of the sign with the color Fluff. I used a basic paint brush from Dixie Belle for this part of the project.
While the frame and base dry, start painting all of the 3D elements with the color Caviar.
I used a sponge brush to get good coverage on all of these pieces.
Once everything is dry, use Gorilla Super Glue to assemble your sign.
Here’s what your final project should look like.
Isn’t this the perfect neutral decor piece! I just love how I can personalize it to fit my style.
