I decided to use different sized canning jars to hold all of the goodies for my hot cocoa bar. Hobby Lobby had a nice selection of sizes and many were on sale. But, I couldn’t just leave them as they were. So I decided to add some ribbon to make them more festive.
For this project, 3/8 inch ribbon works best. I used the snowflakes and the polka dots and simply turned them to the wrong side when I wanted a solid color rather than a print.
PRO TIP: Buy Christmas trimmings when they are on sale. I try to always stick with red, white and silver so I can use them for the coming year. That way they fit lots of themes including Valentine’s, Christmas, 4th of July and summer.
To attach the ribbon, I just simply used my hot glue gun as pictured below. You could also finish your ribbon off with a bow if you’d like.
You could also add glass knobs to the top of the jars for an added touch if you wanted to.
Remember, you don’t have to have a huge amount of space to add a Hot Cocoa Bar. Simply grab a cute tray, add a few of your favorite hot cocoa goodies and you’re set! Take a look at what I did with a tray below.
