This is what you need to create with the Peace, Joy & Christmas Cheer Transfer:
- Wooden Blocks
- Wooden Ornaments
- Double Sided Box Frame
- Peace, Joy & Christmas Cheer Transfer
- Shimmer Olive Chalkology Paste
- Dune Chalkology Paste
- Bright White Chalkology Paste
- Shimmer Gold Chalkology Paste
- Shimmer Shadow Chalkology Paste
- No Pain Gel Stain in Walnut
- Fluff Dixie Belle Chalk Paint
- Squeegee
- Ribbon, Twine & other embellishments
First, prep your surfaces so they are ready to be stenciled on.
For this project, I used wooden blocks, ornament cutouts and double sided box frames as my surfaces.
The wooden blocks were prepped with No Pain Gel Stain in the color Walnut.
The wooden ornament cutouts were prepped with a coat of Dixie Belle Chalk Paint in the color Fluff.
As for the box frames, those are from Chalk Couture and come ready to use. No prep needed!!
Now, let’s prep our transfer so all the elements are ready to use.
This stencil has twelve elements that you can use interchangeably.
You’ll need to cut them apart before using, as shown above.
First up are the ornament cutouts.
To use your transfers, simply place them on the surface you are chalking and apply a thin layer of Chalkology Paste. Finish by wiping back the excess paste and removing the transfer.
I used the color Shimmer Shadow for these ornaments.
Here’s the finished set embellished with some ribbon. These would not only be adorable on a tree, but would also be super cute on presents.
Next up are the wood blocks.
For this wood block, I used the same basic process as described above except I combined two elements.
You can see how I placed and chalked the wreath element first. Then, I added the word “blessed” to the center. I used the color Olive Shimmer for the wreath and Dune for the word “blessed.”
To finish it off, I simple added a bow. This is a great piece for any season.
For the next one I used the “Be Merry” portion of the transfer, Bright White Chalkology Paste and a bow to create a simple Christmas decoration.
Here’s another fun Christmas themed example!
Finally, here are a few examples using Double Sided Box Frames from Chalk Couture.
For all of these examples I use the paste colors Olive Shimmer and Dune.
This set would make a great handmade Christmas gift.
