Upcycling items you have around your home is the best way to save money on décor and this upcycled mirror idea is a great start!
For today’s project, I once again shopped my décor stash. I’ve had this piece for a year and decided I wanted to use it in our VRBO. Initially, I envisioned painting it white and giving it a distressed look, however this upcycled mirror will be going on a white wall, so I needed something that would pop. Let me show you how I accomplished that pop of color and created a piece that’s perfect for the space.

Supplies you need to upcycle a mirror:
I started by picking a color to paint the frame and went with Anchor by All-In-One Mineral Paint. What pops better than black and white! Then, I taped off the mirror to protect it while I painted.
Then I started painting. Be sure to add as many coats as your piece needs to get the coverage you want.
Originally, I thought I would use a bit of gold gilding wax to give the piece a little something extra, but decided I love the clean crisp black.
Once all of your paint has been applied, remove the protective tape.
Do you know how hard it is to take a pic with a mirror…?? LOL!!!
Here it is on the white wall!! I love the crisp bold combo of black and white, don’t you?
