This is what I used to make my Valentine’s Day Framed Sign Set:
- 5×7 Chalk Couture Box Frame
- Wooden Heart
- Wooden “You”
- Gold Gilding Wax from Dixie Belle Chalk Paint
- Soft Pink Dixie Belle Chalk Paint
- Polka Dot Stencil
- Wax Brush
- Paint Brush
- Gorilla Super Glue
For the first framed sign in this set, begin by adding Gold Gilding wax to the word “you”. I did this with my wax brush.
Simply rub the wax into the wood until you get it fully covered.
Then, apply a layer of the color Soft Pink to the heart cutout.
Once the paint is dry, use the polka dot stencil and Gold Gilding Wax to add polka dots to the heart.
I added the polka dots using my wax brush and a circular motion.
To finalize your sign, use Gorilla Super Glue to attach the heart and “you” cut out to the frame.
Sign number one is complete!
To complete the sign set, I simple used another blank framed sign and added polka dots to the entire surface.
To do this, I used the same polka dot stencil and Gold Gilding Wax as I did for the first sign.
All finished! This is how I styled my framed sign set.
And, here’s a look at how you can style the “Love You” sign with another fun piece!
